Origin: Nile Delta, Egypt (sandy alluvial soil, 320 sunny days/year)
Main Varieties:

  • Navel Oranges (November-March): Seedless, easy-peeling, premium fresh market

  • Valencia Oranges (March-June): High-juice content, ideal for processing

  • Blood Oranges (January-March): Distinctive crimson flesh, gourmet segment
