Origin: Nile Delta, Egypt (protected microclimates, alluvial soil)
Main Varieties:

  • Red Malaysian: Pink flesh, high vitamin C

  • Thai White: Crisp white flesh, floral notes

  • Mexican Cream: Buttery texture, small seeds
    Season: July – December (Peak: September-November)
